#27 It’s Happening Right Now, and It’s Crazy
If nothing in your life feels crazy right now… let us remind you that you’re standing on a spinning fireball in space.
Think about this for a second…
If you had NEVER learned about science and someone told you at the table:
“You know, we actually live on a giant sphere flying around the Sun at 107,000 kilometers per hour,” you would probably laugh in their face.
Because nothing feels like it’s moving.
Your coffee doesn’t slide.
The oceans don’t spill.
And gravity doesn’t pin you against any wall.
Then they go,
“Oh, and that’s not all. The sphere is spinning at the dizzying speed of 1,670 kilometers per hour.” But everything is fine. It’s just an ordinary Tuesday.
Clouds can weigh hundreds of tons and just float.
The Earth’s core is hotter than the Sun’s surface.
If you stop for a moment and try to grasp these, it melts your brain.
Reality is made up of extraordinary things at every step… and it feels completely boring from the inside.
The Lesson?
Familiarity can hide just how radical your reality really is.
So…
If the universe gets to be that crazy, you’re allowed to have radical ideas too.
