#37 Lack of vision isn’t a problem. It’s feedback.

Here’s what it means when you lack clarity about your vision and mission.

A lot of people say they don’t have clarity on their vision or mission.

And honestly, that’s not wrong. It just means something.

It’s feedback.

There are two types of visions and missions.

The first one is the vision you build.

That’s like being in a house with the windows covered in mud, so you turn on a bunch of lights.

It works… for the moment.

That vision is usually built from “I want” and “I have to.”

It’s shaped by lack, pressure, old wounds, and proving something.

The second type is the vision that’s revealed.

That’s when you clean the mud off the windows and let the sun come in.

You’re not forcing light anymore. It’s already there.

The vision that you build is an intermediary step to the vision that is revealed.

A lack of clarity in your vision and mission is not a flaw, it is feedback.

The feedback says, don’t try to think harder or plan more. There’s still mud on the windows.

When the windows are covered, no amount of forcing will bring clarity.

You can stare all day and nothing shows up.

The work isn’t to invent a vision.

The work is to clean the glass first.

When you do the inner work, the vision and the mission don’t need to be created.

They reveal themselves.
