#38 What inner work really means
If you’ve done “years of inner work” but your life looks the same… you probably didn’t do inner work.
Most people think inner work is courses, books, and podcasts.
It’s not.
You can consume all that and still be stuck in the same patterns like 5 years ago.
Same relationship issues.
Same money.
Same ceiling in business.
That’s how you know the work didn’t land.
True inner work requires the integration of complementary opposites.
And it goes in 3 stages.
First, you reorganize your past.
The guilt and shame accumulated in the past are like dirt settled on a window.
You clean that, you finally see clearly.
We have a process for that.
Second, you stop trying to be someone else.
Comparison makes you live other people’s life.
It’s like driving with the handbrake on.
Third, you integrate your dark labels.
Greed. Aggression. Laziness. And anything else you would not want to be said about you.
The more you own, the bigger your vision gets.
The second and third stages are progressive and they never end.
For instance, every time you take ownership of more of your dark side, the light grows.
Every time you allow the shadow to grow, it means you have more light.
Inner work isn’t becoming pure.
It’s becoming whole.
